My
inspiration came from some of my own experiences and
through volunteering with women who have suffered trauma
and abuse either inflicted by other people or through choices
made by themselves, and who may never have told anyone,”
says Donna. “A theme woven through this book is the masks
we wear; the invisible coverings we put on to hide the
hurts, disappointments, shame, and regrets we may carry.
However, until that mask comes off, only then can the real
healing begin.”
